Inventive Recycling for Kids – a Repair Kid Project

If kids can do it, then adults can do it too! Let’s get some inspiration from this project.

Cis Deyl started the “Repair Kid” program where children can recycle broken tech items and make something new out of it. She travels to schools, markets and festivals in a big camper van encouraging kids to dismantle tech parts and create new inventions out of it.

The project is aimed for kids from ages 6 to 13 and teaches children the concept of recycling and increases their creativity. The children then gain an understanding of machines, become familiar with tools and the teaches the importance of not always throwing things that are ‘no longer useful’ but instead can be made into something else.

Perhaps more adults should also start learning to recycle and reuse items too.
