It’s always sad news when charitable people in this world pass away – these rare gems of men and women deserve to live long lives to help other people but some things happen for a reason and even the charitable cannot avoid that.
One of the well-known philanthropist, Dan Fredinburg, passed away in an avalanche while climbing Mount Everest after sustaining a serious injury in the head.
Dan was a former Google employee and engineer, his efforts to climb Mt Everest was an effort to fundraise for OrphanGift, a Crowdrise campaign. The campaign has raised $60,000 completing the OrphanGift goal.
His friends and family will continue continue the work he has began at the newly established Dan Fredinburg Foundation.
